TESLA Performs for a massive audience in Tucson, Arizona tonight after returning from the Monsters of Rock cruise!
Whoever said “Rock is dead” obviously doesn’t know about the fans of TESLA that live in Tucson AZ, and the fans who joined the band on the Monster of Rock Cruise last week with the likes of rock legends: Krokus, Y&T, Europe, Extreme, KIX… just to name a few of the “rock” bands from the infamous era known as the 80’s. TESLA spent one day recovering this week in an Arizona hotel to catch up on rest after flying all day through the Dallas, TX airport from the port of Miami in order to rock the sold out crowd of nearly 10,000 rabid rock fans at the PIMA County Fairgrounds in Tucson AZ.
However, the bands instruments didn’t quite recover as well from the journey as lead guitarist Frank Hannon’s classic white Gibson SG suffered a few cracks and dents from an obvious drop by the TSA inspectors at the airport. It appears that when they opened the flight case to inspect it, they let the guitar hit the floor and the neck was seriously knocked out of adjustment causing tuning issues in tonight’s concert. Despite the struggles with the damaged guitar, Frank Hannon, Jeff Keith, Brian Wheat, Dave Rude, and drummer Troy Luccketta managed to put on a power packed 90 minute set of music that included songs from the recent “Simplicity” album as well as old classics such as “Song and Emotion” which was dedicated to the late Steve “Steamin'” Clark for his recent birthday and the upcoming tour with Def Leppard.
Tickets are available NOW for the summer tour.
